These "green" supplies are very simple, but innovative for sustainability, using my best eco-friendly ideas and materials which include:

  • 8/10 mm (mumme) silk habotai (domesticated bombyx mori moth cocoons)

  • Sodium alginate thickener (pure kelp)

  • Gum thickeners (natural plant gums used as food additives)

  • Wax paper (reusable)

  • Water

  • Vodka (alcohol for painting)

  • Silk dyes (MSDS Hazardous Components: None)

  • Various reusable substrates for plein air monotypes and displaying as part of closed-loop recycling effort
